Who we are
Olakira Afrika Safaris LTD was founded by maasai [ mr shabani khalfan] who born and raised in the northern part of Tanzania at the village knowns osinoni inside ngorongoro conservation area which knowns EDEN OF GARDEN where human lives together with wildlife without any interference.
Olakira Afrika Safaris founded to combine the professional tourism experience and personal travel experience to create comfortable, safe and eye-opening journeys that anyone can enjoy.
Each of our guides has a minimum of 8 years experience and have trained and worked with the best tour companies in Tanzania. They have an immense amount of local knowledge, are passionate about their country and heritage, and want to share the very best of it with you.
And what’s in the name? Olakira means “morning shining star” in the Maa language.

At Olakira Afrika Safaris LTD we encourage and help our guests to learn about the different peoples of Tanzania. We are always happy to organize visits with local communities. We wholeheartedly subscribe to the philosophy of Michael Palin, who said: “Getting to know more about each other remains one of the most important hopes for the peaceful future of the planet. If we are really to understand each other better, then we need to be reminded to travel carefully and thoughtfully, listening to people along the way and respecting the world we are privileged to travel through.” We are also more than happy to coordinate a volunteer position for you, whether its teaching at a school or working on a sustainable farm. We have a wide network of local projects that help communities and we will work very hard to find the perfect match for your skills and interest.
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT

The negative impacts of tourism development can gradually destroy the environmental resources on which it depends.
